Mendix is recruiting for a Dev Ops Engineer to join the Product Security team at our Rotterdam, Netherlands office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Enabling the integration of security tools and practices in the most optimal places of the development lifecycle of our R&D product engineering teams
Implementing and maintaining security tools and collaborate with engineering teams to leverage these tools in their toolchain and delivery processes
Suggest improvements on teams’ software development lifecycle with regards to security and help them implement and automate these improvements where possible
Improve security operations monitoring, both on the team level as well as from an integrated, company-wide viewpoint
Increase awareness on and usage of best practices of using security tools within the R&D department
Role Requirements:
- Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable experience and knowledge
- Experience with DevOps tooling to automate environment creation, maintenance and application build and depoy pipelines
- Comprehensive experience with virtualization technologies and cloud provider ecosystems like AWS and kubernetes
- Ability and drive to automate where ever and whenever possible, no matter the scripting and programming language used
- Excellent communicator in English, both written and spoken while being able to convey information effectively at multiple levels of sensitivity and for various audiences
- High level of initiative and self-direction, while collaborating in a team to achieve your group’s goals
